We sew our hats in Poland from 100% mulesing-free merino wool. We source the yarn from Italy, where it's also dyed. All the tags and trims come from Poland.

Merino wool is one of the best materials you can wear all year round:

• Perfect for all-year wear — it insulates in the heat and warms you in the cold.
• Brilliant at absorbing moisture — it can soak up water equal to 30% of its weight and still feel dry to the touch.
• Doesn't hold onto smells — after a night at the pub it won't reek of soup (well, at least a lot less).

Our range also includes hats made from GRS-certified recycled wool for those who want an even more sustainable choice.

Merino wool works better as an all-year beanie - pop it on in July and you'll still be comfy. With recycled wool - not necessarily; it's more of a product for the colder part of the year.

Merino wool has more sheen and is softer, while recycled wool is more matte and rougher to the touch.

Merino wool doesn't scratch your forehead, whereas recycled wool does scratch a little (just like ordinary sheep's wool, no more than that). But if you've got a sensitive forehead - merino is the choice for you.

Mulesing is a painful practice carried out on merino sheep, involving removing skin around the tail — meant to prevent parasitic diseases. Sadly it's still common in the wool industry.

The yarns we use come from sheep raised without mulesing, and the manufacturer's guarantee confirms it.

We usually dispatch orders within 2 working days of the payment clearing.

We ship across the whole of Europe — both to EU countries and beyond (including the UK, Norway and Switzerland). The exact list of supported countries and any customs charges are shown in the basket when you place your order.

We accept payments via Shopify Payments (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other cards) and PayPal. The shop supports multiple currencies — you pay in your own local currency.

All transactions are encrypted and secure. We don't store payment card details — that's handled entirely by Shopify.

You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to return the goods without giving a reason. The product must not show any signs of use

We handle returns via the WygodneZwroty.pl platform — the whole process is simple and done online. Your order is refunded within 14 working days of us receiving the parcel.

If your product arrived damaged or is faulty, get in touch with us via our contact form as soon as you can after receiving the parcel — ideally with a photo of the fault.

We handle complaints within 14 working days, and as a rule much faster.

Merino wool is exceptionally resistant to smells and dirt, so washing it less often will extend its life.

• Preferably hand-wash at up to 30°C or on a wool programme, if you trust your washing machine (some machines treat wool nicely and some really don't)
• Use a delicate-fabric detergent or a wool shampoo.
• Don't wring it out — gently press the water out and lay it flat to dry.
• Don't hang it on a hanger — wet wool stretches under its own weight.
• Don't iron. Don't tumble dry.

Remember that any natural yarn (without synthetic blends) will move around a bit - stretching slightly with use and shrinking slightly in the wash. These processes should more or less balance each other out.

Nothing, as long as the hat is still comfy and doesn't cause any problems in use.

100% wool (without a synthetic blend) will always move around to some degree - moulding to the shape of your head as you wear it and shrinking in the wash. As long as this doesn't happen too dramatically, everything's fine - the hat will stretch a bit with use and go back to roughly its old size after a wash.

If a stretched hat is causing problems in use (e.g. slipping down over your eyes) - drop us a line, we'll help.

If it ended up in a regular 40-degree wash, you can start planning the funeral.

People of great faith say you can dampen it with lukewarm water and stretch it by force, and then there's a chance of getting a few centimetres back. All of them - probably not.

No, because we'd go mad. Even without in-person collection we're already far too close to it.

It varies. The rib width varies just as much - we source our corduroy from several independent factories. To make choosing easier, in each product description you'll find the corduroy thickness and rib width rated from 1 to 5 (1 - thinnest, 5 - thickest)
